scenes from the weekend

This weekend was so busy and productive, it went by super fast. Even though I didn't make any "plans," we did a lot, but it was stuff we have needed to do for a while.

We replaced my car's battery. We're getting ready to sell it and needed to fix a couple of things. Next weekend we are going to get a couple of new tires and it will be just about ready to go (I have very mixed feelings about this). We also planted some grass seed in our front yard. Last summer was very hot and extremely dry and it took a toll on everyone's lawns. Our front yard is first up, and we'll do the back yard soon. It felt so good to get this all done because we've been talking about it for too long.

Here are some snapshots from our weekend:
One of my goals for this month is to eat better. So far so good! I've been eating more veggies and less processed food.
We tended our vegetable garden, which is doing really well. :) These are photos of our cucumber and squash. We're also growing jalapeƱos, tomatoes, carrots, and cantaloupe.
I got some sewing done! I'm restocking some existing items, as well as working on some new stuff. I also hung out with my favorite person a lot. He's a goof and I love him.

  6. Love these pics! I'm hoping to revamp my eating habits this summer as well - and what better time to do it then summer when there are farmer's markets galore! This weekend I went to the zoo with a friend and it was delightful! (Although it also triggered some crazy allergies, but hey, you take the good with the bad!)
